I work remotely, exchanging text documents with my boss. I print them remotely. (He doesn't use a computer.) He writes changes, then scans the document to my email. The original documents have a 3-column footer at the bottom, with filename, page number, and savedate/time. When he scans and emails the document back to me, somehow the system renames it to file.DOCXb and changes the save time. This makes it difficult to keep track of multiple drafts. Is there any way to stop this?
