I can print, but not scan, constantly getting the error 9923, I have tried all available solutions but nothing works!

Try the below suggestions -


Try updating mac and printer firmware
 

To update the printer's firmware, refer - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware 
 To update Mac, try these steps - How to update the software on your Mac

 

If you scanning using HP App, Uninstall HP App and reinstall it from the App Store.
