MFP M477fnw
macOS 10.14 Mojave

I am using a MFP M477fnw running Mac OS 10.14.5.  The scanning software that is installed is HP Easy Scan 1.9.2.  How do I scan multiple photos at the same time and save to individual files?  Also, is there a way to adjust the file format (JPG, TIFF, etc)?

Hi,

open HP Easy Scan and click the Presets menu, then press on Edit Settings.

Set the Scan Type as Photo and the Source as Flatbed Glass.

Set the Scan Size as Items Bound and press OK.

Place the photos on the glass with some spacing in between, so it will be properly detected, then press Scan.

Once done click on Done, then press Send To > Folder and save your scan.

From within the Save dialog, you may change the scan file format as you need.

That definitely worked to pick the file type but it does not allow me to scan multiple photos at the same time and save them as individual files.  Any suggestions?

Hi,

Have you set the Scan Size as Items Bound as instructed?

That will scan your images into separate photos, this will occur while scanning, even prior to saving the scan, you should see separate photos even prior clicking Send to..
