@ROYALMDS, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

We see that you are facing issues with your new HP Printer, Let's try to get it working! Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot the issue:

Restart Your Devices: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Restart both your printer and your computer.

Check Compatibility: Ensure your printer is compatible with Windows 10. You can check this on the HP Support website

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor: Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. This utility can diagnose and fix many common issues

Update or Reinstall Drivers: Sometimes, outdated or corrupted drivers can cause problems. You can download the latest drivers from HP website.

Check Scanner Settings: Make sure the scanner is set as the default scanning device in your computer's settings. You can do this through the Control Panel under "Devices and Printers."

Try a Different USB Port or Cable: If you're using a USB connection, try a different port or cable to rule out any hardware issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
