Dears,

I would like to scan to a mounted webdav folder but I am not able to mount the folder. I have started up a WS-Scan service a wanted to mount a folder but in vain. I did it this way:

\\webserv.domain.tld\DavWWWRoot\path\to\folder

Please, does my printer support webdav? If so, how can I mount a folder?

Thank you for help

If you are part of a domain (Enterprise) environment, it is perhaps possible that the printer can access / process domain names / computer / server names when accessing network mounted devices.  Generally, if this is the case, your IT department controls / sets the network access and will tell you how to manage / reach different remote systems and folders on the network.

Home Network

How you "mount" the remote directory / folder depends on the Operating System used.

Terms

"Mount" and "directory" are usually used with Linux

"Mapped" and "folder" are used with Windows

Not sure about Mac OS - don't use it

Example

If the environment is Windows based, use the IP address instead of the domain / computer name to map the folder.  I would guess that Linux would be similarly tolerant of using the IP address to mount the WebDAV directory and doing so eliminates issues with devices not knowing or understanding domains / computer - server names.

Why?  Although Windows is capable of using the hosts file (where IP is translated to names), the practice is not the default in a home network (and you would know if you were using hosts).

Make sure the folder to which you need access is "shared", that is, all those who might be accessing the data in the folder have "Read / Write" access to the folder tree and files.

Map_Network_Drive_2AMap_Network_Drive_2A

In so much that I am aware (and I have been wrong before about Laser printers and other subjects), the printer itself has not enough intelligence (internal OS) to manage / map server names.  Assuming you can access remote points on the network from the printer control panel at all, it might be necessary to do so using IP Address mapping / mount point.
