My printer is an - HP Officejet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One Printer – and my OS is mac OS Catalina 10.15.7.
When I try to scan with the scanning software I have used until recently, the following message appears on my monitor –
What can I do at this time to download new HP software that will work with my software?

Hi,
First, please make sure your Mac is fully up to date with any of the latest updates from Apple and restart your Mac:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201541
Next, download and use HP Easy Start to uninstall any currently installed software:
- Download HP Easy Start below:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip - After the software downloads, open HP Easy Start.
- Click HP Easy Start from the top menu, and then select Uninstall HP Software...
- Read any warnings that display, and then click Continue.
- When prompted, type your administrator user name and password.
- HP Uninstaller removes all HP printer software previously installed.
- When you see the Set Up New Device, close HP Easy Start.
Next, download and install the latest drivers below:
Once completing the installation, open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners and click the plus sign.
Select your printer and be sure to select your printer model too within the use drop-down menu
Finally, also install the latest HP Easy Scan from the store and check for any difference:
