I cannot get my scanner to talk to my computer

If you're experiencing issues with your HP Designjet Scanner not communicating with your computer, follow these steps to troubleshoot the problem:

Check Scanner Power:

  • Ensure that the scanner is powered on.

Verify Cable Connections:

  • Check that the FireWire cable between the scanner and the computer is inserted correctly. Sometimes, removing and reinserting the cable can resolve connectivity issues.

Ensure Proper Communication:

  • You may need to use the Rescan button to re-establish communication between the scanner and the computer.

Check Network Connection:

  • Make sure your scanner is correctly connected to the network if it's set up as a network device.
