Hi @yacov57,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To change the baud rate on an HP printer for faxing, you'll typically need to access the printer's control panel or settings through the device's menu. I can provide you with general guidance that should help you locate and change the baud rate setting.

Here are the general steps:

Access the Printer's Control Panel:

  • On the printer's control panel, look for a menu or settings button. This is usually a physical button with an icon that looks like a gear or wrench.

Navigate to Fax Settings:

  • Once you're in the menu or settings section, navigate to the Fax or Setup menu. Again, the specific wording might vary depending on your printer model.

Locate Baud Rate Settings:

  • Within the Fax or Setup menu, look for an option related to fax settings. There should be a sub-menu or option specifically for adjusting the fax parameters.

Change Baud Rate:

  • Once you've found the fax settings, look for an option related to baud rate. Select it, and you should be able to change the baud rate setting. Change it to 9600, as recommended.

Save and Exit:

  • After changing the baud rate, save your changes and exit the menu. The printer will likely prompt you to confirm the changes.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
