setting upfax on hp 2855e printer

I am trying to connect the fax on my printer. It says to use control panel. There are no options on my printer that the instructions are talking about.

Welcome to the HP Community --

Little DeskJet printer does not have any built-in Fax hardware.

If you wish, you can use HP Mobile Fax.

The app has been in an endless "Trial" phase for a number of years.

Should that ever change, you would receive a notification offering a subscription to the service.

There is no charge for Trial Software.

There is also no official support, though the software tends to work as it ought.

"Don't want it"

Sign-up and use of HP Mobile Fax is completely voluntary.

There are likely still eFax type services on the Internet.

Be wary of the "free stuff" -- you don't want the fax service keeping copies of your stuff.

HP Mobile Fax adheres to the laws governing it's use and your privacy.

How do I receive a fax?

HP Mobile Fax does not include a "Receive Fax" feature.

To receive a Fax, you need an electronic fax service that includes the feature OR you need a printer that includes Fax hardware and the ability to receive Faxes using your landline phone service.
