Hi.

I have this old scanner that i've kept only because of the photo slide feature.

Few years ago the power source broke so i decided to (one day) bring it to my office, plug it into my lab powersource and scan all my photo slides i have in my "to do" pile (i have like 8 reels i want to scan - not much but enough).

Well, it's exactly what i did today, but i'm stucked - i cannot find the software for the scanner anywhere. Without the software the scanner just work like normal (not turning the slide backlight on which results in... well, useless scan). Sure i can scan documents (using for example irfan), but i need software that was with the scanner to power up the backlight on the photo slide for me to actually get pictures from it.

I tried search forum here and i found link to a HP Scan Extended, but it does not work really. It doesn't even produce any image at all (sometimes it looks like there's smth after the scan but it wanishes like in ms and there's nothing to be saved). But even if it did show smth the software has no option of choosing the photo slide (thus turning on the backlight).

Can some please point me towards anything that would work with this ancient piece of technology?

Just to be sure - i don't need this scanner for documents or "big" stuff like that, i just need that foto slide working (i have other - and faster - scanners for office stuff).

Thx a lot for reply.
