Hello,
I use Hp Photosmart 5510 series printer, and faced a problem where I can't scan from the printer to the laptop. Before having this problem, I used to scan from the printer Wirelessly without facing any problems, but after I changed my Internet brand and speed, the printer keeps saying "Make sure the printer software is installed on your computer, and that 'scan to computer'is enabled via the printer software" even though i already connected the printer to the new internet. I already have the printer software on my laptop, but it doesn't work. When I try to click scan from the computer, the computer used to say "the hp photosmart 5510 series files are not found". I tried changing the IP address but it didn't work either. So I don't know what to do now. Also, I tried using the USB cable and it worked, which showed me,on the printer, that I can scan via Wireless or with USB.When I tried Wireless with the USB attached to the laptop, the wireless worked ( so as the USB ),but when I unattached the USB cable, it didn't work. Please Help
Note:- I formated the laptop and changed the OS from vista (original) to ultimate, which helped to enhance the performance of the laptop. Does that have anything related to the problem?

Welcome to the HP Community @Blizzerd,
I wanted to respond to your issue with having the printer connect and function on your "new" wireless network. I think that if you uninstall the printer and reinstall the printer software and continue through setting the printer up on your new network, it should work again for you.
Here are the steps for you.
1. Uninstall the Printer Software and restart your PC.
2. Click this link, select Windows 7 and follow all of the steps in order to install and reconnect the printer: HP Photosmart 5510 and 7510 Printers - Setting Up a Wireless Network
Test out printing and scanning and let me know what happens! I hope this does the trick![]()
