trying to scan and getting a message that I have to sign in, when i try to sign in i get the error (Error Code: UA_400_EB000U0217)

I understand you are getting an error message UA 400 EB000U0217 on your HP SMART App. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

 

Please follow the below steps:

 

Clear app data

  1. Press the Windows logo key + R to launch the “Run” App.
  2. In the Run app, type %temp% and hit enter.
  3. This will open the temporary files folder in the AppData app.
  4. Now, press “Ctrl + A” on your computer to select all the temporary files.
  5. Press “Delete” to delete all the temporary files in the folder.

Uninstall & Re-install the HP Smart App.

Thank you Anand_Andy, I was actually able to fix the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling both the printer and the HP Smart app.
