cannot scan from HP d110a to imac osx 10.11.6 Iheard there was a alternative way to accomplish this

Welcome to HP forums, I see that you are unable to scan from printer to your iMac.

 

Enable the scan to computer connection:

From the Printers & Scanners window, click Options & Supplies > Utility > Scan to Computer to enable the connection.

Enable scan to computer in HP Utility
