I'm having a vertical line appear down the paper only when I scan or copy and only from the ADF and only on odd pages.  Do you know what the problem is and how it can be fixed?

Instead of saying that the line only shows up on odd pages, I should clarify and say that the lines do not show up when scanning a two-sided document on the back side.  If I scan two pages (one-side only) then the line shows up on both pages.

If you do not get the defect on flat glass scans then you have debris on the scanning glass. When duplexing, there is a separate scanner that scans the back side of the document and that is the reason you only see it on one side.

So I've cleaned the glass and all the parts as described in the video, but I still have the line show up. 😞

I have had cases where nearly invisible bits of adhesive from a post it note that you cannot really see can cause problems. I have found that a good quality flashlight, held at various angles can sometimes show a missed bit of debris. Also can you confirm that if scanned from the flat glass there is not defect. If no defect then it has to be something with the glass and worst case is if there is any type of scratch in the glass as there is no eliminating that beyond replacement.
