I have tried all the suggestion in the support section to get rid of this vertical line. does anyone have any idea where it may be coming from so i can go back and clean the rollers again? for example which roller etc. i have tried to reset the printer as well and it has not worked. this is the line.this is the line.

This is caused by dirt or debris on the ADF scan glass 99% of the time.

 

Here is a support video that talks about diagnosing and cleaning the ADF glass on OfficeJets.

i tried to clean it. can you be more specific as to how i can do it. i did read the support diagrams etc. 

i don’t know what ADF scan glass is. the scanner works fine manually

I am not sure I can be more specific than the video I linked.

 

You can line up the location of the streak on the copy with the thinner piece of glass towards the left (typically) of the scanner glass.  I think the video is pretty specific about how and where.
