@Phedog, Welcome to the HP Support Community – it’s great to have you here!

I appreciate you taking the time to share your question. I'm more than happy to assist with this and provide a solution that works for you.

If your HP printer cancels every copy job automatically, it could be due to a software glitch, incorrect settings, or a firmware issue. Let’s walk through some steps to resolve this:

Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall and the printer.
  • Wait for 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.

This clears temporary memory and can fix minor glitches.
Check for Firmware Updates

Outdated firmware can cause unexpected behavior.

  • Go to the HP support site: HP Software and Driver Downloads
  • Enter your printer model (e.g., HP OfficeJet Pro 9025).
  • Download and install the latest firmware update.

Reset Copy Settings

Sometimes custom copy settings can cause issues.

  • On the printer’s control panel, go to Copy Settings.
  • Tap Restore Defaults or Reset Settings.
  • Try copying again.

Try Copying from the Flatbed

If you're using the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder), try placing the document directly on the scanner glass and copy.

If this works, the issue may be with the ADF sensors or rollers.

Perform a Printer Reset

If the issue persists:

  • On the printer’s touchscreen, go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore Factory Defaults.
  • Confirm the reset.

This will erase custom settings like Wi-Fi credentials, so make sure you have them handy.

Check for Error Messages

Look for any error codes or messages on the printer display when the copy cancels.

I hope your issue is now resolved. If not, feel free to reply and we’ll continue helping until everything’s sorted!
