Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I am trying to batch scan documents and would like to have them scanned as searable PDFs.

 

If I set the scan up as a network scan there is no option for searchable PDF so the only option is scan to computer, which means my computer must always be running and I cannot scan dirctly to a network file server.

 

Does this sound correct or is there an easy solution here?

Hi,

OCR scanning is only available through the HP Full Feature Software on HP Officejet Pro class printers, a such is not offered for scanning to a network folder.

 

That sound perfectly correct, what you would like to achieve exists only on higher-end printer such as HP Enterprise class printers.
