Product: hp scanjet 3970
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Running windows 7 and trying to figure out which drivers to install for my scanjet3970

"Software and driver results for: "

only offer up to windows vista 64 bit. I tried letting the HP site detect my hardware but it could not find it despite following all instruction on the site. Yes the scanner was on 🙂

 

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi,

The scanner is not supported on Windows 7 or any later operating system, therefore you are not able to locate a driver:

You may try the 3rd party VueScan software as suggested by the document above, it should detect your scanner without any need of additional drivers:
