Hi all,

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, if it is and there's a better suited one, let me know and I'll repost.

I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is a silent install switch available for the HP Support Assistant?

I have a number of machines that I need to install it on and it would take a long time to go around to all of them and install it and also, the machines are usually in use so if I could schedule the install for out of hours that would be great.

Has anyone come up with a way? I just want the basic install to happen, no custom modification other than installing silently.

Thanks

Here is what I found. If I do the install in two steps I can get it to work silently. Download a HP Support Assistant SoftPaq and unpack it.

First: Install Framework - msiexec /i hpsupportsolutionsframework.msi /qn

Second: Install Support Assistant -  setup.exe /s /v/qn

I am not sure how to hide the icon on the taskbar yet. But this will at least get the program installed silently.
