SSM
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We are deploying Windows 10 to Elitebook 1040G3 notebooks and will be applying replicated setup for applying a BIOS password. enabling UEFI Secure Boot and enabling TPM.  We also need to update the BIOS to the latest verison.

We will be deploying the OS using MDT and need to automate it.

We currently use SSM during the operating system deployment task sequence to add drivers, but it doesn't upgrade the BIOS.  How can we add the BIOS software and upgrade the BIOS when the BIOS is password protected?

Should we use SSM for updating the BIOS or a separate BIOS utility and how?

Hey,

It should update the bios. For me it does. Just download the bios files with softpaq into your SSM FileStore folder and update the databse afterwards.
