sprocket

Hi,

I just got my sprocket printer. it works well with my iphone.

However, I am currently shopping for a digital camera (such as a Canon T6 or Panasonic Lumix FZ300), and i am wondering if I could connect a camera to the printer, either via bluetooth, NFC or any other protocol.

Please let me know, it will help me select the right camera.

No,

The HP Sprocket printer is intended for mobile devices only, iOS or Android.

Thanks for your answer. If it is true, I should say that it is badly explained by HP when you buy the product. Saying it has Bluetooth and NFC connectivity does not mean it is only for mobile devices.

Too bad, I wanted this to be my travel printer while on the go.

Don't give up just yet.  You can indeed hook the Sprocket to PCs, for example.  You can make a Bluetooth connection and use SEND FILE to the printer. What you won't have is the PROGRAM that they provide on Android and Apple.  However, it may still be possible to connect the camera to the printer, and send a file from the camera to the printer.  You just won't get the other items they provide (such as putting text on the photos, or making cute borders).

So if you are planning on getting the camera anyway, don't be afraid to try to connect to it.  If you do try it report back what you discover!! OK?

I was wondering this same thing, but it seems like it has to be able to use the HP Sprocket app in order to print to the unit. However, what I have been doing is transferring the pics from my point and shoot digital camera to my cell phone via the wifi built in to my camera. In this case it's the Olympus Tough series. Seems that is the best option right now, and it works, just a little slower than being able to immediately print from the smartphone.
