I connect my sprocket 2 in 1 to my iPhone sprocket app 2.80.30 and navigate to the printer screen. The printer is ready, charged, and shows a Get Firmware Upgrade button. When I press it, it shows a press but doesn't do anything.
I've tried resetting, using another device, and reconnecting.
Camera Info:
Firmware 1.08.24.06
Hardware 1.0

Hi @GRyon, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It looks like your HP Sprocket 2-in-1 is stuck on the firmware update process. Since you've already tried resetting and using another device, here are a few more troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:
Ensure a Stable Connection
Make sure your iPhone's Bluetooth is enabled and the Sprocket is properly paired.
Disconnect and forget the Sprocket in Bluetooth settings, then reconnect.
Update the HP Sprocket App
Ensure that you have the latest version of the HP Sprocket app installed on your iPhone.
If you are using an older version, uninstall and reinstall the app.
Try Updating via Another Device
If possible, try performing the firmware update using another iPhone or Android device with the Sprocket app.
Reset the HP Sprocket 2-in-1
Turn off the printer.
Locate the reset button (a pinhole near the paper output).
Use a paperclip to press and hold the reset button for about 10 seconds.
Turn it back on and reconnect it to your phone.
Manually Trigger the Update
Open the HP Sprocket app.
Navigate to Menu > Printers > Firmware Upgrade.
Try tapping the Get Firmware Upgrade button again.
Check Battery Level
Ensure the Sprocket is at least 50% charged before attempting an update.
Connect it to power and leave it for a while before retrying.
Try a Different Network
If you're on Wi-Fi, switch to mobile data or vice versa.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Thank you for your response @GRyon.
Since you've already tried all the common troubleshooting steps, let's dive deeper into some alternative methods to get your HP Sprocket 2-in-1 firmware updated.
Advanced Troubleshooting Steps:
Force Firmware Update via HP Sprocket App (Alternative Method)
- Open the HP Sprocket app and go to Menu > Printers.
- Tap your connected Sprocket and look for "Forget This Printer."
- Turn off Bluetooth on your iPhone.
- Restart both your iPhone and the Sprocket.
- Turn Bluetooth back on and reconnect your Sprocket.
- Navigate to Firmware Upgrade in the app and attempt the update again.
Check for Firmware Corruption
Since your firmware version is 1.08.24.06, it may not be upgrading due to corruption. Try this:
- Factory reset your Sprocket again (press and hold the reset button for 10+ seconds).
- Use another iOS device (or an Android phone) to install the HP Sprocket app.
- Try updating the firmware from the new device.
I hope this helps!
