Sprocket 200

I have connected my sprocket 200 to Bluetooth once and it worked. However when I went to do it again it would not work. I have tried resetting my printer and powering off my phone but nothing has worked. My sprocket won’t show up in my iPhones Bluetooth settings. I tried deleting the app and redownloading it but when I click on set up my printer, my sprocket doesn’t show up in the last step.

Welcome to HP support community.

Reset your mobile device and Sprocket

  1. Turn off your mobile device, and then turn it back on.

  2. Turn on the Sprocket.

  3. Remove the Paper Cover, and then use a narrow object, such as a pen or paperclip, to press and hold the Reset button for 3 seconds until the Sprocket turns off.

    NOTE:

The location of the Reset button varies by Sprocket model. Typically, the button is located underneath the Paper Cover, but can also be found on the outside next to the charging port.

  4. Turn on the Sprocket.

Upgrade the Sprocket firmware

  1. Make sure the Sprocket is on and your mobile device is connected to the Internet.

  2. On your mobile device, open the HP sprocket app.

  3. Tap the Menu icon , and then tap sprocket.

  4. Tap Manage Printers, make sure your Sprocket is selected, and then tap Printer Settings.

  5. Look for a firmware upgrade.

    • If a firmware upgrade displays, tap Get Firmware Upgrade, and then follow the on-screen prompts to complete the update.

    • If a firmware upgrade option does not display, the firmware is up-to-date.

How do we update the firmware via the app when the app won’t recognise the sprocket even exists?I am very confused. Can we update sprocket firmware by connecting it to a PC?

Hi. There is something wrong with the iOS Sprocket app.

I have tried unsuccessfully to connect my Sprocket to the app I downloaded on my new iPhone 11, iPad and older iPad mini. The device is connected in Bluetooth settings but can not be found by the app....

I then connected my Sprocket to my old Huawei phone powered by Android, successfully.. hoping that it would enable me to update the firmware and then I could go back to using it on my iPhone 11.

No luck.

I have been able to print a photo with my old Huawei phone but I would much prefer using my iPhone....
