HP Sprocket 3x4 battery seems totally drained. Does not charge. Red charging light turns on and then turns off within minutes. Status on the app continues to show 0% battery. Have tried leaving it on charging for over 3 days but the charging light goes off after a couple of minutes. Can't even print while the printer is connected to the charger. Printer never been used before. Brand new. Very disappointed and frustrated.

@WindChimes3110, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP Sprocket is brand new and experiencing issues where the battery seems drained and does not charge properly, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this problem:

Ensure Correct Charging Setup:

  • Insert the Micro-USB Charging Cable into the HP Sprocket.
  • Connect the Micro-USB cable to a power source capable of supplying 5Vdc/2A or 5Vdc/1A.

Check the charging indicator LED Light:

  • When connected properly, the charge LED indicator light should turn on to indicate charging.
  • The light turning red briefly and then turning off might indicate a problem with the battery or charging cable.

For further details, you can refer to the HP Sprocket 3x4 User Guide for troubleshooting steps and additional information.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
