I have an older sprocket and when i plug in to charge the red light continuously flashes and will not stop or turn green to indicate it is charged. Is this a common occurrence or an error that is fixable. if it Is the internal battery is it replaceable or would it be cheaper to purchase another one?

I understand your older HP Sprocket keeps flashing a red light while charging and never turns green. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.
Check the charging cable and power source
– Make sure you’re using the original cable and a USB port or adapter that supplies enough power.
– Try a different wall adapter or USB port to rule out power issues.
Clean the charging port
– Inspect the Sprocket’s charging port for dust, lint, or debris.
– Use a dry, soft brush or compressed air to gently clean it.
Reset the Sprocket
– Press and hold the power button for about 10–15 seconds to reset the device.
– Release and reconnect to the charger to see if the light behavior changes.
Let it charge for an extended period
– If the battery was fully drained, the red light may flash while it builds enough charge to power on.
– Leave it connected for at least 2–3 hours to check if it eventually stabilizes.
Consider battery age
– If the Sprocket is older, the internal battery may have degraded and no longer charges properly.
– Internal batteries in Sprockets are not easily replaceable, and replacement costs can approach the price of a new unit.
Test with another Sprocket (if available)
– If you can borrow a similar device, try your cable and charger with it.
– This helps determine if the problem is the device or the charger setup.
