Product: Sprocket Plus Photo Paper

Same question as many other unhappy customers. Is my Sprocket Plus now useless given we are all unable to purchase photo paper anywhere. I am now ready to move on and purchase another brand printer if I could just get a reply from HP stating all sprocket products have been discontinued?
