When I send a picture to print the sprocket makes sound like it’s printing but nothing comes out.

Hi @nankhanna

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Sprocket printer is having trouble printing, even though it appears to be attempting to print. If you’re hearing sounds like it's working but no photo paper is coming out, there are a few things you can check to troubleshoot the issue.

1. Check the Paper (Zink Paper)

Ensure that you’re using HP Sprocket-compatible photo paper (Zink paper), as this is specifically designed for use with the printer. If you're using incompatible paper, it may not print correctly.

Steps:

  • Remove the Zink paper from the printer.
  • Check that the paper is inserted correctly in the paper tray, with the shiny side facing up (this side is the one that should receive the print).
  • Make sure there is enough paper in the tray and that it's not jammed.

2. Check for Paper Jams

If no paper is coming out, it's possible that there is a paper jam inside the printer, even if it seems like the printer is trying to print.

Steps:

  • Power off the printer.
  • Remove the Zink paper.
  • Check the paper tray and the inside of the printer for any obstructions or pieces of paper stuck inside.
  • Use a flashlight to inspect areas you can't easily see and gently remove any jammed paper.

3. Restart the Printer

Sometimes, simply restarting the printer can resolve minor glitches.

Steps:

  • Power off the Sprocket printer.
  • Wait for about 10 seconds.
  • Power it back on and try printing again.

4. Check the Battery

Ensure the Sprocket's battery is sufficiently charged. If the battery is low, the printer might attempt to print but not complete the process properly.

Steps:

  • Check if the printer’s LED light is blinking or showing a low battery.
  • If it’s low, plug the printer into a charger and wait for it to charge for a while before trying again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
