Hi @DreDre2, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'd be happy to help you set up your HP printer! Here are the general steps to get you started:

  1. Unpack and Power On: Unbox your printer, plug it in, and turn it on.
  2. Install Ink Cartridges and Load Paper: Follow the instructions that came with your printer to install the ink cartridges and load paper.
  3. Connect to Your Laptop:
    • Via USB Cable: Simply connect the USB cable from your printer to your laptop. Your laptop should automatically detect the printer and install the necessary drivers.
    • Via Wi-Fi:
      1. On the printer, go to the Wi-Fi setup menu and select your Wi-Fi network.
      2. Enter your Wi-Fi password to connect the printer to your network.
      3. On your laptop, download and install the HP app from the HP website.
  4. Open the HP app and follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.
