Hi @DreDre2, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'd be happy to help you set up your HP printer! Here are the general steps to get you started:
- Unpack and Power On: Unbox your printer, plug it in, and turn it on.
- Install Ink Cartridges and Load Paper: Follow the instructions that came with your printer to install the ink cartridges and load paper.
- Connect to Your Laptop:
- Via USB Cable: Simply connect the USB cable from your printer to your laptop. Your laptop should automatically detect the printer and install the necessary drivers.
- Via Wi-Fi:
- On the printer, go to the Wi-Fi setup menu and select your Wi-Fi network.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password to connect the printer to your network.
- On your laptop, download and install the HP Smart app from the HP website.
- Open the HP Smart app and follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.
For more detailed instructions, you can visit this link - HP Printer setup using Wi-Fi or wired network or USB cable | HP® Support
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
