Hi @ailbhjk,

I understand your HP PC is showing a “Product Information Not Valid” error at startup. This usually happens when the system board information (like serial number or product number) is missing or corrupted. Let’s go through a few steps to troubleshoot this:

Restart the PC

Press Enter to continue startup and see if the system boots.

Sometimes a simple restart can temporarily bypass the error.

Check BIOS/UEFI

Power on the PC and press the appropriate key (often Esc, F10, or F2) to enter BIOS/UEFI.

Check if the system shows missing or invalid information under System Information.

Reset BIOS Settings

In BIOS, choose Load Setup Defaults or Reset BIOS to Default.

Save changes and restart the PC. This can sometimes restore recognition of the system board.

Check for BIOS Update

If your PC can boot, visit the HP Support website to see if a BIOS update is available for your model.

A BIOS update may restore missing system board information.

Reflash System Board Information (Advanced / Service Center)

If the system board info is still missing, it may require reprogramming by HP-certified technicians.

This is a hardware-level fix and cannot be done safely at home.

Avoid Further DIY Attempts

Repeated attempts to flash or modify BIOS without proper tools can make the PC unbootable.

I hope this helps.
