Thanks for your help in trying to resolve this. I also have a palm pre2 phone. Today, I went the coffee bean store and put my phone in airplane mode. Then I turned on my wifi. So at this point, the only network connection I am getting is via wifi. When I opened a webpage (on pre2), I got a webos notification 'captive portal detected'. On clicking that, it takes me to the login page of coffee-bean.
But beyond that point, exactly same thing happens as with the touchpad. When I put in the code and hit enter on the page, the same appears again will null pass code.
One peculiar thing about coffee bean's network is that it is designed to disconnect after 2 hours for a 10 minute break. Is that something that is making webos not able to connect at all?
ABhi
Note - on my laptop (also HP), I am able to connect and use this network without any issues.

Still having issues trying to connect at Coffee Bean I even emailed their tech support and they replied looking into it but haven't received a response since than. It just boggles me that i'm able to get as far as entering the numeric code but after that no connection to internet. When i go to Starbucks i can connect with no issues. Has anyone had success at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf? Thanks
