Hi everybody! I've just bought an HP Elitepad 900 G1 basic model and I have inserted MicroSIm card inside and I really don't know how to launch 3g internet since you don't have the "phone" shortcut as in Android tablet.

I am wondering if this Sim card slot is not only working for just few operators such as Orange or sth else! Am I wrong? (I hope). Because i have bought it in Switzerland but I am using it here in Madagasikara. Besides is it possible to use the tablet as a phone like Android tablets? Thank you for your help.

I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial product. You can do this HERE.

Not sure the reason of your issue but just found out why mine did not work. Using a Sprint sim card.

The ElitePad 900 shipped with a Verizon welcome kit, but only AT&T and T-Mobile are supported by the WWAN card. The WWAN module in the ElitePad 900 G1 tablet does not support CDMA networks such as Sprint and Verizon.

Footnote: I love my Elitepad 900.

you can go to my computer, and install the D-com management system. After installation this software, you can connect the internet through this management system
