Elite 1012 X2 G1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have been able to pair the pen with the X2. And when I push button A, it does open the app. However, the pen does not work. No other function apdo not pears to be working. We are using this on a Windows 10 (1607) - 64. I also can launch Windows Ink Workspace by pressing button A. But that is all I can get out of it.

Hello CplMike

There should not be anything special you need to do to make the pen work on the touch screen.

Did the pen come with the X2 or did you buy it separately from a third party vendor?

If its from a 3rd party vendor, it mayl be faster to return it to them for an exchange.

Otherwise, you should contact HP Support for warranty replacement.

Hey Photoray002, thanks for the quick response. I have been told that the company purchased the pen at the same time as they tablets were ordered.

So, it turns out that there are two different batteries in this pen; a pair of watch batteries for the bluetooth, and a AAAA battery for the pen. I had disregarded the possibility of a battery, because I was able to pair up the pen through bluetooth.

Ok, I assumed you had the batteries in it already.

Thanks for the update.
