HP Elite X2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello all!

I am having a problem with the HP Elite X2 and Verizon Wireless. I suspect this is a driver issues for the SnapDragon.

The company that I work is issuing out HP Elite X2 tablets with the SIM card slot for mobile internet access.

However, 50% of the time when the tablets go in to sleep mode (or even sometimes from boot) we get an error when trying to connect to the Verizon cellular network.

The error: Can't connect to this network. Enter an APN and try again.

After speaking with Verizon and troubleshooting using the steps below, we are still getting the error.

Troubleshooting steps:

  1. Issue occurs on multiple devices
  2. Issue occurs with multiple SIMs in different devices
  3. Latest SnapDragon driver has been installed. HP It4120 SnapDragon X5 LTE. Version: 10.0.14393.1198
  4. Windows is up to date.

If anyone has any ideas then they will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

- Chris

THank you for that. I am also going to include other downloads I would recommend to assist in the communication between the hardware and software.

1.) BIOS Update : https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-elite-x2-1012-g1/8741943/swItemId/ob-1...

2.) Chipset Installation Utility : https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-elite-x2-1012-g1/8741943/swItemId/ob-1...

3.) Snapdragon Driver : https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-elite-x2-1012-g1/8741943/swItemId/ob-1...

The Snapdragin driver will show a different date than what you had provided me with. However, the version is different and the most recent from our site.
