Dear Support,
Microsoft is pushing to upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10.
Currently Iam working happy with my PROBOOK 4530S notebook with original OS windows 7. Is the PROBOOK 4530S suitable to working with OS windows 10?
Iam looking forward to your answer.
Best regards,
GS84

Hello GS84,
I dont have access to that model laptop but looking through the forum, upgrading that model has come with mixed results that were not so great.

HP does not offer driver support for that one with Windows 10. So that can be a problem.
Drivers & Software for HP ProBook 4530s Notebook PC - HP Support Center.
It will have to run on the generic drivers that come with Windows 10 already.
Basic functionality will be fine, but other things like the Validity fingerprint sensor may not work so well.
You will have to look through these threads to read about resolving the sensor install via other companies drivers.

So personally, I would make a backup image of your system to revert back to if you dont like Windows 10
Win10 will create a backup also and it gives you 30 days to revert back if you choose. After that, it does not work.
BUT, I do not trust those backups and thus, I say create your own image.
These tools work for me...AOMEI Backuper or Macrium Reflect Free
With all that said, Windows 7 so far will be supported until January 2020
If you are happy with 7, you may not like 10 as it is different and more limited with what you can configure.
Example: You cannot control what Windows updates get installed like you can 7.
Some older software and Printers may not work on Win10 also.
Check to see if your printer will have full featured drivers to download.
Hope it helps.
