Elite x3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I've just received my Elite x3 and it's stuck in a loop as I just get a blue screen and it restarts.

I've tried to hardare reset using the key combinations I use on my other Windows Phone but it doesn't seem to work on the Elite.

I've also tried the Windows Phone recovery tool but the Elite is not listed on the devices yet.

I've looked on the uspport page for how to do the reset on the Elite but it only mentions doing from within the OS which I cant get to.

Does anyone have an ideas/suggestions?

Thanks

Matt

Hi,

I got the exact same issue.  I powered my device off (hold power butten for 10-15 sec) and kept it that way for well over 24 hours (friday night until sunday morning).   During that time I did not have it plugged in.

When I started it up this morning it booted normally (in my case it installed the release preview of windows 10 mobile.

Good luck,

Bryan

Now it seems my device is locked for security reasons, I have to wait another 2 hours before I have to reboot it again. Fingers crossed

I didn't wait 2 hours, this is what I did:

That did it 😉  I'm back into business

Hello,

You can also force a hard-reset on your phone with the following process: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/10768/windows-10-mobile-reset-my-phone

Hope this helps!

This doesn't help at all.

There was an HP update and now it is stuck in this loop again and multiple people complain that powering it off and draining the battery don't do the trick any more...

Please fix this by providing the image in WDRT: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12379/windows-10-mobile-device-recovery-tool-faq

Hi all,

We have worked with Microsoft to update the WDRT to include the Elite x3.  Please check the new version (3.10.24401) and report back to us on how it works:
