I followed the steps in the same order and my touchpad started working. I am really greatful to the developer who took time in resolving this issue.

Thanks for letting us know cam007!  Glad it's solving some of the dead TouchPads around here!  🙂

Please check your charger, sangee!  How are you charging it?

The cables HP provided were notoriously fragile.  Use the supplied transformer, but try another cable or perhaps a TouchStone charger.

I received one cable that was defective right out of the box.

I had tried charging with the charger supplied.

As well as tried charging with laptop for the whole night.

But both the options didnot work out. The Tablet is again completely dead

I tried to Reboot it with Ubuntu again. But while doing so, its asking for password. I thought it is the password of the tablet and i dont remember it. So tried all the options but it didnot work out.

password was not asked before when i had tried to reboot it.

I want to know why is it asking now and what password is it asking??

Kindly let me know soon.

Thanking you,
