Product: HP's Website / live chat feature not working
Operating System: Android 8.0 - 8.1 Oreo
I'm experiencing ongoing issues with the Live Chat feature of the hp.com Canada English website.
I can initiate a chat, but the chat popup does not provide a text field in which I can type anything, nor does it provide a "send" button.
I can see the agent name, read their postings, but there's absolutely no way for me to answer. I've tried several different machines/devices. The problem occurs on android devices like my smartphone and tablets, all of which are up to date with software. Popups blocker is not enabled, and all cookies are accepted (although I tried with various settings, no luck with any of them.)
Back to the chat problem ... after a while the chat times out. I receive an email from an unmonitored address saying chat terminated because there's no response from me. The phone number for voice support takes me to a number with exactly three options, none of which pertain to website.
I called, was passed through several departments to a man who said thetes no way to reach any webmaster. He instructed me to use the HP website's "contact HP" link then "general feedback".
I filled in the form, and got a pop up from from the CEO saying he doesn't read all the emails. Great.
So now I'm here, without an appropriate forum. Hopefully HP will read, respond, and fix the issue
I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
