Hi:
Is the Transcend card you are using the one marked 150x?
I think there is a slower one, but I want to get the faster one if it works.
Thanks
Ira

I found that a regular 4 GB SD card was not recognized, but the high capacity (HCSD) works fine.

Well, I haven't tested it, but if it's a 4GB SDHC card, it definitely won't work. It's quite rare when a piece of equipment works with SDHC cards.

Actually I have exactly this (4 GB SDHC card) and it works find in my Treo 680.

I had a conversation with one of the people who wrote the music app for the Palm.
He said that he has had lots of e-mails from people about the 4GB cards in the Palm and that they don't work.  He said that even if it seems to work for a while, as it gets filled up it fails.
I'm going to get 2 2GB cards instead.  A minor nuisance compared to a single card but I can manage,

Thanks for your comments.

Hi There.
Few days ago i bought a Kingston 8GB Class6 SDHC card, and it has worked fine in my Treo650 (after installing the sdhc and fat32 drivers of the Treo 680).
I just noticed tough that the card is "lost" time to time.. thus all of the sudden i cannot access it anymore.Only an eject and re-insert can fix the problem.
Since i have several applications running on my Treo 650, i have decided to remove the "ones" i suspect can interfeer with the card.. i tried first LauncherX, then OnLaunch but with no results.
Now i have removed Resco-Explorer and since today my card is still accessible.. mmhh.. maybe i found it.
I do not know why, but it could be.
I have verified that all the backups went fine..but it would be a shame if i have to remove resco-explorer.. it is so usefull.
I will keep posted in case something changes.
Cheers.

Hi there.
I have found that neither Resco Explorer nor LauncheX are responsible for the "loosing" of the card.. and OnLaunch is not involved too.
It happens randomly, so i guess the problems are in the drivers SDHC that i have put in the rom.
I saw in this forum that the treo 680 has similar problems, so i am stuck!
For now i am back to my old sandisk ultraII 2GB.. i will make some more tests and check more on the web in search for a solution.. what a shame to see my 8GB on the table... 😞

I bought a  NEW PATRIOT 2GB mini-SD card for my Treo 755p (Sprint) and giving me problems. First my computer will not recognize it or will freeze up. Using Palm desktop quick install tool, MIDI ringtone files will not install to the card or my handheld. Message says cannot install to card, have no volumes on it. Tried changing destination drive from SD exp card to handheld and message says: cannot change, no applications in handheld to run these files.  FINALLY, I was able to send the files to my handheld via InfraRed port and worked perfectly. I’m replacing the card to KINGSTON 2GB mini-SD and does anybody know if I will have the same problem?  Any comments please!  Don’t see any posts regarding this. Thanks.

700W - Verizon - SanDisk  Ultra II 2.0GB works just fine.

The Verizon 700w & wx versions both worked fine with a Transcend 4GB SD (oddly, the SD I tested had SD instead of SDHC...)

As a question, do I have to do something to "format" the SD card? I'm testing a new Transcend 8GB and both the phone & pc make the proper recognition sound. However, the card doesn't show up as a folder in the phone. Plus, Windows Media Player (on the pc) doesn't try to sync with the card or list the card.
