I have the same issue as others- A noisy fan running constantly on my new HP 27" AOI desktop?

I purchased the computer for Christmas and ended up returning it because it was so loud it had to be defective.  I was given an exhange.  But this unit also suffers from a very noisy fan.  How do I know?  I also own a 2017 HP AIO that is used by my wife and it is quiet a church mouse.  No constant humming.

How do I fix it before returning it?

To answer your questions before you ask them- here they are...

1)Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?

No I did not , its a brand new  all in one

2)Do you get any cooling fan error on your PC?

No

3)Please provide the product number of your PC to assist you better.

DESKTOP-KHD4J4B

4)Update the BIOS on your PC and check if it helps.

I should not have to update the BIOS on a brand new machine...

5)You can update the drivers using HP support assistant and check if it helps.

I did all the upgrades that hp support assistant offered.

As others have complained, the story is like others have written before...  Please point out the simple fix before I return and exchange this machine for a 3rd one...  Sincerely, David

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
