Same issue as everyone else. It started about 3 weeks ago where the device stopped charging.
It was only charging once the battery warning icon (red cross) comes on., however it is now no longer charging.
Any help on this would be appreciated. As it stands this tablet is now one expensive paperweight.

I would like to return the device however I am from Australia and I purchased it whilst I was in Hawaii in November.
If anyone has a HP support email it would be great. For some reason I cannot find the device in the consumer support section.
The device is now not charging at all and I would like to see if there i anything I can do.

The charging solution on this tablet is a joke and mars what is (mostly) otherwise an excellent tablet. Whoever decided that this type of solution, and whoever approved it, should be fired immediately. The connection is very poor and often my Omni 10 will not charge until I fiddle with the plug. If the unit gets bumped while charging, it will often stop. I've come home multiple times to a tablet with a dead battery because of this issue. Thought about RMAing it but I don't see how a different unit will solve this issue for the long haul.

I take it no one is able to provide the support email. If anyone could I would really appreciate it. When I follow the link on the site there is no option for the OMNI 10.
I now have been unable to use the tablet for over a week.
After some thought and some generous help from the forum members I have edited my post. Whilst I am still very frustrated with the tablet I have some hope that I will be able to connect to support to try and work something out. Thank to George_p and jeff

I've had this issue as well. Got the same poor support from HP in January... was supposed to get a new charger, got just the powerplug adapter (useless). For some reason, a few days later, it charged and had been working well for the last 3 months. However, the gremlin is back today and the tablet again refuses to charge depite fiddling with the connector, connecting-disconnecting, rebooting.... so very annoying.
I'll wait a few days for the tablet to be completely drained and will retry charging it, but I wish someone could figure out what's going on...
I doubt it's the charger or an issue with the connector itself... there's something else at play here

Hi Myamid,
I too wish someone would sort this out. My tablet hasn't charged for over a month now. I took it to a local store which sells the OMNI and I was able to confimr that my charger is stuffed.
I then spent 1 hour on various Australian HP support lines to be given the Pre-Sales number so that I can order a charger. Long story short after 8 call (and voicemail messages), and after contacting several HP resellers which said they couldn't stock the part as it is not on their Australian list (even though the device is selling here) I have given up.
I am now throwing away what is a generally good piece of hardware because of the awful support from HP Australia.
I am now am forever will be purchasing from their competitors.
Hopefully you have better luck!

I am not sure what the problem is but it seems to be a common issue with all HP tablets (I also have 3 hp slate 7 ones).
I was hoping this one was better.
Has anyone got a solution to that or are we all wasting our time here?
Thanks

Hi,
I suspect it's the charger and not the tablet itself.
The last few times this has happened, I unplugged the charger from the wall socket and left it "rest" for a few hours... I do the same with the tablet, I let it drain and let it sit... And then, after a while (it worked within a few hours once, took over 24 hours on another occasion), when I replug everything, it works.
Though this is not conclusive... I kind of suspect it's the charger that's overheated or that it has some "software/memory" that bugs out... But at least it works and I can still enjoy the tablet...
