I have HP Elitebook 840 G2 notebook and i want to use the sim card.

 

what should i do in order to use the sim card and get internet on my laptop?

Hi:

 

In order to use the SIM card, your notebook also has to have the required WWAN card to connect to cellular service.

 

90% of notebooks don't come with that expensive option.

 

Look under the network adapters device manager category.

 

In order for the SIM card to work, you will need to see one of these WWAN adapters listed there...

 

HP lt4112 LTE/HSPA+ Qualcomm® Gobi™ 4G Module
HP lt4211 LTE/EV-DO/HSPA+ Qualcomm® Gobi™ 4G Module
HP hs3110 HSPA+ Mobile Broadband Module
