HP Elitebook Folio 9480m
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a 4GB PC3L already installed in my HP Folio 9480m, can I use a PC3 together with it?

Hi:

Not according to the service manual.

See chapter 1.  The supported memory is DDR3L (1.35V).

if you install a DDR3 (1.5V) memory module, you will most likely get a memory error that you are using the wrong type memory.

Okay I haven't read the manual. But would it be okay to use both ram types together?

No.
