I have tried evry single recomendation on this forum and my keyboard and touchpad are still not functioning. In tge device manager it shows its connected even when its not, and that its functioning properly. The "mouse/touchpad" does not show up at all in the device manager or the control panel. This extremely frustrating! I've already sent it back to hp when it was under warranty and have purcgased a replacement keyboard after the warranty expired! I would love to fix this since this has been my sole computer for the past 3 years for school. i am running Windows 10 64 bit, I have updated tge bios, uninstalled and reinstalled all drivers. PLEASE HELP!

Hey there! @tdarlbob, Welcome to HP forums.
I understand you have issues using keyboard and touchpad on your laptop.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?
Are you able to use onscreen keyboard on the tablet?
Please provide the product number of your PC to assist you better.
Check if the keyboard base is securely connected to the tablet.
Please try few steps recommended below.
"Expand ‘Universal Serial Bus controllers’ and you should find 2 entries for ‘Generic USB Hub"
"Starting up in safe mode, then shut down"
"Safely remove and eject media on the taskbar, and Eject Docking Station. Remove the "Tablet" for a few seconds and redock it."
Also, try updating the BIOS and other drivers on your PC using HP support assistant.
Refer this article to know more information about using HP support assistant.
Let me know if this helps!
Have a pleasant day ahead! 🙂
