I am using the Slate 7 extreme 4400us. When I insert an SD card into the slot, it will not stay in slot. It goes in as it should, but immediately springs back out. The tablet will dectect and read the card if I hold it in (I had used tape for a while), but that is not a solution and and I often get the "sd card suddenly removed" message. I would like to send my product in for repairs, but I was unable to find and repair form or information on how to go about doing this. Please help me. Thank you very much.

Hello, and Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Often, the card has to be pushed in further than one might suspect is "far enough". As an Electrician by trade, I keep my fingernails trimmed short and can't push a micro SD card in far enough without using some kind of a tool.
You should feel a "click" when the card is in deep enough. I use a straightened paperclip to accomplish this, but advise you to be extremely careful! I've slipped and the card shot out of the slot into the recesses of the couch...
As always, be sure the card is inserted with the notch on the correct side. See this Support Page for instructions and pictures.

None of these solutions help. There is something broken with the springloaded mechanism, as nothing I do keeps any card in the slot. The card is inserted correctly, as it does read as long as I hold it in. This needs to be repaired. I want to send my tablet in for repairs, and would like guidance on how to go about doing so.
