I also recently decided to reinstall Windows 10 and also to no avail. I'm really not looking foward to the only solution being to have to send it in for repairs again, but I would also like for this computer to have the functionality I paid for.

I am appalled by HP's inoperance on this matter. There seems to be a direct correlation between the units sent for repair (mine included) and this problem. The 360 degree rotation feature is one of the main selling points of this device, without it I probably would not have bought it.
I really hope HP is listening, because my experience with them has been horrible. Not only has my unit been sent for repair twice with the original problem still here, and now this.
Runnng out of ideas HP, please help.

I haven't had the need to contact HP Support by phone for any issues, and I'm assuming those of you who have sent your units back have, but I'm wondering if you contacted them by phone regarding the rotation issue and what their response has been.
Counting on HP to actually pay attention to these forums and act accordingly seems to be an iffy proposition. We, as users, would like to be able to expect that someone has it as their job to be participating and responding to these posts, but I suspect that is not the case. Therefore, the only way that we can ensure any response at all is to contact them directly via the phone support lines and to continue to share the responses, or lack thereof, here.

Petra I understand this is a known issue, we will arrange for a re-repair and take care off this.

I had done this once before, to no avail. I finally called HP and they said to contact Microsoft because it was thier issue (I still have the email). I didn't do that, but instead decided to download and update all the drivers available for the device. I removed the ones that could be removed, rebooted, and reinstalled. This resolved the problem for me. I have a 13t-4000 x360. I upgraded to win 10 in place. I've never sent it in for repair.

Since i got my spectre back from repair (replaced motherboard) due to the adaptor not being able to charge the battery the tablet function is not working, when flipping the screen the screen does not rotate or the keyboard does not deactivate, i have tried allowing auto rotation and updating all the latest drivers and bios, the registry is at (1) like it should be.
i have seen another post that was marked as answered but that was due to a windows 10 issue.
Unfortunatly contact with HP support on the phone has just sent me round in circles,,, again. Maybe i might get some decent help here.
Hoping that someone with the same problem has found a resolution, i purchased this laptop specifically for the tablet feature.
Anyone have a solution or updates on what HP are doing about this? does upgrading to Windows 10 solve the issue?
Thanks so much for any help.

The laptop is going back for a re-repair. The issue of the rotationproblems are known, so ........
Hoping that it will be fixed. I asked for a new laptop because I am not sure about the re-repair, but HP said that it will not give me a new one 😞 although it had faillures out of the box.
