Hp x3 lap dock

I have a lap dock for my hp x3 and I lost my x3 recently, I’ve noticed lap dock can link to win10 desktop pc by miracast WIRELESSLY but the display reaction delay is a little big, so for not wasting the nice design of lap dock, I want to know if there is any way I can link lap dock to a win10 desktop pc with a type-c cable or any cable?

If you have a PC/laptop with USB C that supports Display Port over USB C then it might work (since that's what the Lap Dock uses) - it's just there are a few funny things that can happen depending on FW version, considering HP doesn't officially support this.

People have plugged in LG V20 and Samsung Galaxy S8 phones with success to the Lap Docks, but it doesn't work for everyone (you might end up with a really low resolution display or no display at all)
