I have an HP Pavilion 15-cs2110tx, while I work with my charger connected The performance is really good, but after unplugging the charger if I had to run a couple of applications I notice a degrade in speed drastically.

So, is it recommended to use the laptop with the charger plugged in?

Product introduced mid 2019

If this is the original battery, it might be "showing its age" .

Battery might benefit from calibration - or it might be getting weaker.

Regardless, you can certainly use the computer with the AC power connected.

Additional Information

Battery seems “stuck” in a particular charge setting

The battery might be OK and just need calibration (balance / set).

You can also check your energy settings. As customers typically want maximum battery life the standard energy settings for on battery usage are often set to throttle back the processor and lower screen brightness. You can change the settings to maximum performance while on battery but that will dramatically shorten the battery life you can expect.
