Installed OS: Windows 10 Anniversary Update (worked as a charm)
Upgraded to: Windows Creators Update
I manually upgraded Windows 10 on a Stream 7 (5701nb) to the latest major update (Windows Creators Update).
However, the current touch and audio drivers (and possible others too) on the HP support pages are not compatible with this major update.
Touch driver error:
"Could Not Find c:\windows\inf\gt9*.bin"
"Updating drivers for ACPI/GDIX1001 from c:\swsetup\package\GoodixTouchDriver.inf.devcon.exe failed.
GoodixTouchDriver installation failed!"
When will HP release updated drivers that are compatible with the Windows Creators Update?
After upgrading to Creators Upgrade the tablet becomes useless as the touch and other important drivers are not compatible with this upgrade.
I probably have to roll back to Windows 10 Anniversary Upgrade

dleb, thanks for reporting that the Windows Creators Update breaks the touchscreen and audio drivers, I have not tried installing it yet on my Stream 7. Some others here have reported it breaks the touchpad driver on their Stream notebooks also. Hopefully some new drivers will be made available. Luckily Microsoft has the Windows 10 Anniversary ISO still available for download.
Spursfan52, If you want to go back to Windows 8.1, you would need the recovery USB from HP (if you did not previously create one) since it came with Windows 8.1 with Bing which Microsoft does not make available for download. Other Windows 8.1 install images would not validate on the Stream. You might want to try a fresh install of Windows 10 Anniversary instead to fix it.

dleb and kyle_b, Windows 10 Creator is working fine on both of my Stream 8 tablets. I didn't install anything from HP's website as everything "just worked" after the updates. I did the same for Anniversary update. Good luck.
