can't set up printer via HP smart with Android phone

Hi all

I need nome serious help. I had no problem to install and configure the Office jet 5740 with my computer. Biut when I try to do the same with the HP Smart I get an error saying that it can't confire the printer go to hp123.com and do from a laptop and computer.

I did that tried again. Same problem.

I deinstalled and reinstalled the android apps. Tried again. Still unable to  get HP smart to configure the printer.

So please tell me why my smart phone won't configure the printer?

What didn't configuration from the computer transfer the configuration to my smart phone?

How do I force HP smart to configure the printer set upÉ

To be honest I'm totally lost and very frustrated. To be honest this software is absolutely terrible.

It shouldn't be such a hassle to configure a wireless printer via a smartphone.

HP smart needs to be reprogrammed because in its current form, it's very useless

A follow up. The phone finally recognized the printer when I clicked on add printer. The printer name showed up but when I try to print a document or photo I get a message that the wifi needs to be set up when it's the wifi is already turned on and working.

I have no problems with Google print on my phone.

So quite frankly there's some very bad programming decisions because configuring a printer on Android is an exercise in futility. It simply should be this difficult to set up a printer in Android
